An English Bulldog, named Hoss, struggled to breathe his entire life until Dr. Robin Knopp performed life-changing laser surgery.
English Bulldogs and other brachycephalic breeds, such as Pugs or French Bulldogs, often suffer from Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS). One of the symptoms of BOAS includes an elongated soft palate. An elongated soft palate partially blocks the airway which can be fatal.
Dr. Knopp used his Aesculight CO2 laser to perform a soft palate resection and now Hoss is breathing easy for the first time in his life.
Dr. Knopp is a veterinarian and owner of Abbey Animal Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. Learn more at abbeyanimal.com
