I love it. It is probably the best thing I have done for my clinic.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) lasers are used in oral surgery for precisely cutting or vaporizing soft tissue with hemostasis... tissue vaporization is more efficient with the CO2 laser than with other lasers... because of the direct absorption of this wavelength by water.

What Dog Owners Say About VetScalpel and Aesculight Laser Surgery

I contacted, thanks to you, Caroline Earle White Veterinary Hospital in Bensalem,PA. The Spaying of my 4 year old Golden- doodle was quick, and the recovery wonderful and pain free, as far as we could tell. She really did not need the cone after only a few days, because she was not bothered by the incision.

Would you recommend laser surgery to other pet owners? Why or why not?
ABSOLUTELY–because of the reasons above. I wanted as easy a procedure as possible.
Thank you for your directive!

My dog had surgery for stenotic nares and elongated soft palate. Surgery was fast and my dog had a relatively quick recovery. I would recommend laser surgery because it requires far less post-op care than traditional surgeries and with less time spent under anesthesia, I felt there were fewer risks of complications. I also didn’t have to worry about sutures or wound management at all. The veterinarian who performed the surgery was knowledgeable and very compassionate, she explained the procedure and contacted me as soon as it was over to let me know how my puppy was doing.

What Cat Owners Say About VetScalpel and Aesculight Laser Surgery

I am very happy that I elected to have the laser surgery performed on my 17 year old cat who suffers from chronic renal failure. The type of surgery he needed did not lend itself to conventional surgical methods. The choice was really one of euthanasia or laser surgery. The DVM who performed the surgery did an excellent job in preparing my old guy for the anesthesia, taking care to perform preliminary testing and supporting him throughout the surgery and recovery on IV fluids. Jim Sox is so much happier and healthier now. I feel as though I have given him several months, maybe a year or two, of quality life that he wouldn’t have had otherwise. He’s my little buddy!!!

Thank you very much for taking such great care of Owen. Prior to surgery, Owen acted like a old cat. He was slow and his coat was greasy with dander. He really did not preen himself nor did he want much to do with the other cats in the household.

What a change since the surgery! He now preens himself, the other cats, the dogs and me. He now seems almost kitten-like in his renewed interest in playing with toys, the other animals and his pet humans. He has also become quite the snuggler.

I am very glad that I made the decision to have the surgery done. Owen has had absolutely no problem recovering from it.

I took my pet to Boston Road Animal Clinic. It was my first experience with the laser procedure and was pleased with the results. Less trauma to the tissue, quick healing and it didn't seem to be so painful for my pet afterwards. I recommended the laser surgery to a friend and they have already had a similar procedure done!

With reference to Boco's recent surgery using the surgical laser. We were extremely happy with the fact that there was less bleeding and swelling! Boco didn't appear to have much post-surgical pain and her recovery was very quick. We would highly recommend this laser treatment to any pet owner that may be considering surgery. The love and care shown to Boco by our Veterinarian and staff is always appreciated.

We took our pet to Eau Claire Animal Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I was glad to hear that the healing time would be faster and less painful. I believe that was so. She was spayed and is healed very nicely.

The glued sutures were very clean, with no subsequent infection. My animal went home after surgery with pain medication that lasted three days, and she was able to walk comfortably while taking the medication; however, she slept a lot. By the fourth day she was doing well without the medication with limited supervised movement. I feel that the healing process was faster using laser surgery.
