6.4 lb cantaloupe sized tumor was removed from Clyde, a one-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix. Clyde’s previous owner left him for dead at the Gallatin County Animal Shelter in Sparta, KY. From there the dog was transported to HART Cincinnati Animal Rescue, and then to County Animal Hospital in Mason, OH, where the tumor was removed by Dr. Gary Smith and his surgical team with use of an Aesculight surgical laser. Clyde is now resting comfortably after this life changing procedure and is expected to make a full recovery in about two weeks. Veterinarians at the County Animal Hospital are awaiting the biopsy results. To donate to HART Cincinnati Animal Rescue visit www.rescueahart.org/donate.
